The photographer, J. Justin Pearce is the grandson of world-renowned Mississippi Gulf Coast artist Joe Moran. His family owned and operated Moran Art Gallery right across the street from the lighthouse pictured here for many decades. After Camille in 1969, Joe Moran rebuilt the destroyed family home and opened the art gallery. It has stood on the same site since. When Hurricane Katrina once again devastated the Coast, Moran Art Gallery was also destroyed. The family is currently raising money to rebuild this nationally-registered historic site. All proceeds from the sale of this poster go directly into the rebuilding fund.
