All 12 casinos along the Biloxi and Gulfport coastline on the Mississippi Gulf Coast were heavily
damaged or destroyed. Since state laws prohibited gambling on land, barge-based casinos
like the Grand Casino in Biloxi lifted up with the tide and set sail. The Grand Casino in Biloxi
washed up on the other side of Hwy 90 in Biloxi.
